Grand Theft Release Something! IV: Guns of the Patriots [Sept 22nd]

We were planning on releasing the first demo of our game around then anyway.

Google's Chrome.

Its just a early beta like Internet Explorer 8. It runs a bit slower than firefox but I like the way that it handles tabs. Each tab is like a seperate browser window with its own bookmarks,address/search bar, etc., and it has a grouping system for related tabs. There's also some kind of thing were you can save tabs as a standalone browser or something.

I like Internet Explorer 8 beta 1 (not 2) better though.

Bwaha ha ha ha! I have defeated you blocker!

Actually, its more of nobody cares what you do as long as you get work done. For some reason the blocker just blocks nearly everything, and sometimes it seems a little bit random, like say you go to yahoo one day, the next day the first time you go there its blocked. I don't think the things even been configured.

Bwaha ha ha ha! I have defeated you blocker!

Well, screwing around on my computer I accidentally figured out a less obvious way to get around my workplace's crappy blocker than completely turning it off with the admin name/password Go Keylogger well maybe this one was a bad idea. Normally rpgmaker.net is blocked, but I used google translator and set it to translate Belgium to English and I could view the website just fine. (I do believe because of the fact that it changes the url and what content on the page the blocker can actually see.) The only problem with this method is that things such as logging in (darn can't post) and viewing dynamic content on some websites doesn't work.

Anyway, I'd thought I'd share this moment of accidental triumph.

Screenshot Shogunate

All these screenshots do look good.

Heres a few screenshots from our project which up til now has been so top secret that nobody's ever heard of it.

Old house on a rotting part of the floating city.

Tall mountain in the middle of nowhere.

Remade for the purpose of answering riddles! Why did I make a screenshot of this again?

Fiery rock puzzle of doom

This should be plenty of time shouldn't it?

These screen shots are actually kind of old. Since then we've gone back to using the old 320x240 resolution for fullscreen mode, to keep that ancient pixilated look.

Sprite help

Heres one I made real quick. I'm not the best one at creating poses for characters but heres an example. I wouldn't use the same size for the arms sticking up for other characters though, I made them poof out for the robes.

Getting it to look exactly right would depend on how much your ladder/vine/whatever has the rungs spaced, also kind of obvious but your going to need to lower its move frequency for it to look right too.

Also, if I remember correctly Kinetic Cipher had all kinds of poses (including climbing) that TheRealBrickRoad made for each of the characters.

They said he wasn't real. Nobody had seen one for centuries. But here I have undeniable proof!
